The Governor of Osun State, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola has severed relationship with one of the street muscles he hitherto does not joke with, Oyewale Kazeem popularly known as Asiri Eniba, highstreet.ng understands.

And the reason for this development is not farfetched.

Sources who are familiar with the situation of things disclosed Mr. Oyetola took the step following the recent embarrassment he suffered in the hand of Asiri Eniba.

Asiri Eniba, a top member of Osun State Chapter of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), is said to be one of the arrowheads of “State Boys”.

The notorious group (State Boys) was reportedly emplaced and empowered by the previous administration of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

Aregbesola who preceded incumbent governor Oyetola is the current Minister of Interior in the cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Aregbesola and Oyetola are said not to enjoy the best of relationships for some time now.

The ugly incident that put Eniba in the bad book of Governor Oyetola reportedly transpired at a function in Osogbo the state capital on Sunday, January 17, 2021.

“He (Asiri Eniba) approached Gboyega Famodun, the chairman of our party, All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state… He said, unlike the previous administration of Aregbesola, he and his boys are not getting the expected patronage… The man told him to take his case to the governor which he did but in an unruly manner…,” an insider gave an insight.

Hence Governor Oyetola’s decision to instruct his chief security officer to take him out of the venue.
