“He’s With Us” DSS Confirms Arrest Of Elder Statesman Yakasai’s Son Who Criticized President Buhari Over Insecurity

The Department of State Services has admitted that the sacked aide of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, Salihu Tanko Yakasai, is in its custody.

This came hours after denying that Yakassai, who has recently become critical of the Buhari administration and the All Progressives Congress, arrest and detention of the son of elder statesman, Tanko Yakasai.

There have been concerns over the whereabouts of Yakasai who disappeared on Friday evening in Kano hours after he criticised the Buhari administration and APC over the abduction of over 300 schoolgirls in Zamfara.

Yakasai, who said the APC had failed at all levels, asked President Buhari to resign.

Meanwhile, despite denying his arrest, Yakasai’s father insisted his son was in the custody of the DSS adding that he was arrested on his way to a barber’s shop.

The DSS, however, owned up that it arrested the former aide of governor Ganduje last night.

DSS spokesman, Peter Afunanya, disclosed this in a a terse statement.

“This is to confirm that Salihu Tanko-Yakasai is with the Department of State Services. He is being investigated over issues beyond the expression of opinions in the social media as wrongly alleged by sections of the public.”
