Nigerian Govt Gets Senate’s Nod On Fresh $1.5bn, €995m External Loans

The upper chamber of the National Assembly has given the Nigerian government the go ahead to access fresh $1.5bn and €995m external loans.

The approval was reportedly at the Senate Plenary today, April 21, 2021.

This came to be after The Chairman House Committee on Local and Foreign Debts, Senator Clifford Ordia, presented its panel report.

“The decision was taken after the senators considered the report of the Senate Committee on Local and Foreign Debts on the external borrowing plan of the Federal Government,” a report monitored on punchng.com says.
