Bandits Attack: State Govt Confirms Kidnap Of Unknown Number Of Students In Niger community

The Governor Abubakar Sani Bello led government of Niger State has confirmed abduction of unknown number of students from Salihu Tanko Islamic School in Tegina, a community in Rafi local government area of Niger state.

Armed bandits, who invaded the community on Sunday, May 30, 2021, were reportedly responsible for the abduction.

Armed bandits have launched another attack on Tegina in the Rafi local government area of Niger state on Sunday.

The state government is still receiving security reports on the unfortunate incident However two people were shot in the cause of the attack with one person confirmed dead while the other person is critically injured.

It was reported that the bandits were armed with sophisticated weapons and were shooting sporadically when they entered the community.

Unknown number of Children from the Salihu Tanko Islamic School were kidnapped

The state government has however appealed to the residents to be calm as the security agents were on top of the situation.
