On Tuesday, July 6, 2021, thirty scholars from the MTN Foundation-MUSON Scholar’s programme formally graduated following a two-year diploma programme in music.

The MTN Foundation MUSON Scholar’s programme aims to ensure capacity development in musically gifted young Nigerians and attracts high-performing musically talented youths. The new graduates will be inducted into an alumni association of over 300 Nigerians, all recipients of the MTNF-MUSON scholarship since it was launched 15 years ago.

Speaking about the graduation ceremony, the Executive Secretary MTN Foundation, Odunayo Sanya, said, “music reflects culture and has the power to inspire change and influence society. We are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this beautiful ceremony celebrating an elevated level of artistry and remain committed to partnering with like-minded organisations to support local talent.”

“The MUSON partnership encourages a veritable space for music scholars equipped to not only excel personally but lead conversations in the music space.”

The MTN Foundation has empowered students through other scholarship initiatives, including the MTN Science and Technology Scholarship Scheme (MTN STSS) and the MTN Scholarship Scheme for Blind Students (MTN SSBS).
