Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki In EFCC Custody

Bukola Saraki, the former president of the senate, has been arrested.

His arrest, according to a report by premiumtimesng.com, was carried out by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission EFCC.

Mr. Saraki was reportedly taken into custody today, July 31, 2021, over allegations of corruption.

“Mr. Saraki is to answer questions over alleged theft and laundering of public funds using a network of cronies and proxy companies.

The suspected proxies, who executed purported contracts for Kwara State under Mr Saraki, allegedly made returns, for many years, to the former governor, forming an organised network of dirty money flow,” the news breaker reported.
