Gov Oyetola’s Brother-In-Law Wants To Be Federal Lawmaker

Shittu Williams, one of the siblings of Mrs. Kafayat Oyetola – wife of the governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola – has indicated interest in house of representatives seat.

Mr. Shittu currently serves as the Special Assistant on Sustainable Development Goals in the administration of his sister’s husband.

Checks by highstreet.ng indicated he would be actualising his dream on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Interestingly, the incumbent governor who is married to his elder sister has made known his intention to run for another term of four years on the platform of the same political party.

Those who are familiar with Osun State Government House disclosed Mr. Shittu to be one of the appointees who have ear of the reelection-seeking incumbent who is having a running battle with his predecessor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

Aregbesola who currently serves in the government of President Muhammadu Buhari as minister of interior is reportedly insisting Oyetola will be limited to a single term.

Further digs by highstreet.ng revealed Ede North,South/Egbedore/Ejigbo to be the federal constituency Mr. Governor’s brother-in-law will be showing his political strength.

And if the APC ticket goes his way, he has a formidable opposition in Bamidele Salam of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who currently occupies the seat.
