The tenure of Akeredolu, who is serving his second term of another four years, ends on February 24, 2025.
And just a year and some days into his second term as governor of the “Sunshine State”, Mr. Akeredolu is believed to have found a capable successor in the number two man, who assumed office on February 24, 2021.

But one thing I am asking from him is that he should continue to be the good deputy that he is”, Mr Akeredolu reportedly told a gathering of stakeholders who are on the same page with him.
