Charles Soludo Takes Over As Governor Of Anambra State

Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has been sworn-in as the governor of Anambra State.

A former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Soludo was inaugurated today March 17, 2022 as the fifth democratically elected governor of the southeast state.

Mr Soludo, who defeat the Senator Andy Uba and Valentine Ozigbo, the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party PDP to emerge the winner contested on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

The election held on November 9, 2021.

Professor Soludo takes over from Mr Willie Obiano whose two-term tenure of eight years ended today.
