How MTN Nigeria Rewarded Winner Of AMVCA Best Short Film Category
MTN Nigeria was a proud sponsor at the eighth edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) which was recently held amid fanfare, glitz, and glamour. The award ceremony was held at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Saturday, May 14, 2022.
A consistent supporter of entertainment, arts and culture, MTN Nigeria proudly sponsored the award category for Best Short Film or Online video. This is in line with the tech brand’s position as a strong collaborator for digital inclusiveness, cultural innovation, and African excellence.
The edgy short film aptly titled “I Am the Prostitute Mama Described”, was written and produced by Taiwo Ogunnimo, a captivating writer and producer who was the winner of this award category.
In addition to the award plaque presentation, MTN Nigeria also awarded Taiwo N1 Million, MTN broadband router + 1 year subscription, and lots of other goodies. On ground to receive the gifts on behalf of Taiwo was Korede Soyinka, the director of the award-winning short film.
