Governor Makinde’s Deputy Olaniyan Battles Impeachment

The Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Rauf Olaniyan is reportedly battling impeachment.

The battle to get him sacked as the number man by the lawmakers of the south west state commenced today, June 15, 2022, highstreet.ng understands.

Information has it that the impeachment plot already has assents of all the state lawmakers in the camp of the reelection seeking Governor Seyi Makinde except Hon. Ayawo Oyebunmi.

Hon. Oyebunmi is said to be from the same constituency as the impeached deputy governor.

Olaniyan, who recently announced his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been at loggerhead with his principal, Governor Seyi Makinde.
