How Nigerian Youths Turned Up For Walk Against Substance Abuse

Nigerian youths turned up in their numbers to join the MTN anti-substance abuse advocacy walk from the Old Parade Ground to Millenium Park in Abuja. The advocacy walk organised by MTN Foundation in partnership with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) as part of the MTN Anti-Substance Abuse Programme (ASAP), was to create awareness and further drive the conversations on substance abuse in Nigeria.

National Youth Corp members, officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Nigerian Army and Nigerian Immigration Service also turned up in their numbers to join in the walk.

MTN Foundation’s 2022 ASAP campaign themed – ‘It’s Everyone’s Fight’, commenced with a lineup of activities, including; Unplugged training for teachers across three major states, a quiz competition for secondary school students, and a Twitter space conversation on substance abuse. There will also be a National conference on Monday, 27, June 2022 to commemorate World Drugs day.
