PDP’s Ademola Adeleke Wins Osun Guber Election

Ademola Adeleke, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has emerged the winner of the Osun State gubernatorial election.

The election held yesterday, July 16, 2022.

Hew was declared the winner of the governorship contest by the returning officer for the Osun 2022 gubernatorial election, Prof Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos.

Adeleke, a former senator, polled 403,371 votes to defeat the incumbent governor, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola.

Oyetola is the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

He polled a total of 375,027 votes.

Governor Oyetola and his party won in 13 local government areas.

While Mr. Adeleke recorded victories in 17 local government areas.
