Most Trusted Brands Awards Holds November 13

One of most credible awards in the marketing communication industry in Nigeria: the Most Trusted Brands Awards (MTB) will be held on Sunday  November 13 at NECA  House, Central Business District,  Alausa, Ikeja. There are 21 categories of awards across different industry segments including telecommunications, fintech, pharmaceutical, transportation, aviation, food seasoning, hand-held phones, cocoa beverage, debit card, FMCG, among others.

Managing Director of Brandhealth Limited, organisers of the MTB, Mr. Emman Udowoima, said the Most Trusted Brands awards is an initiative towards mobilizing the Nigerian consumers to demand for accountability from individuals and organisations offering them goods and services.

“The Most Trusted Brands report and awards seek to find out through scientific research what consumers think about their brands, their preferred brands across product categories and offer them a form of incentive by rewarding brands that have met consumer expectations”, said Mr. Udowoima.

According to Udowoima, winners are chosen by over 13,000 sampled consumers across 12 states spanning the six geo-political zones of the country.

“Winners emerge organically as brands have no way of knowing, let alone influencing the respondents during the field research. The final leg is the Most Trusted Brands Awards event which is aimed at celebrating the brands that have kept their promises to consumers”, Udowoima explained.

Apart from product brands,  four individuals will be recognized and honoured for the impact they made in the society through their works and services.  They include the Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brig.Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa, (retd.), Managing Director of Seven-Up Bottling Company Limited,  Chief Ziad Maalouf, Chairman  Ibom Air, Pastor ImoAbasi Jacob and Managing Director,  Noah’s Ark, Mr. Lanre Adisa.

The MTB Awards lecture on “ Building Trusted Brands In a Trust Deficit Society” will be delivered by a consummate marketer and President,  National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria, Mr. Idy Enang.
