According to available information, the immediate past governor of Osun State Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola wants to become a minister in the cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari.

And if things turn out as planned Aregbesola will be occupying one of Osun state’s slot in the soon to be constituted cabinet of Mr President.

Motive behind his latest move is straight forward – he wants to remain relevant in the scheme of things in the state he ruled for eight year.

And been a member of the Federal Executive Council would automatically help in achieving this, highstreet.ng understands.

Ogbeni Aregbesola – a former commissioner for works in Lagos State – governed Osun State between 2010 and 2018.

Findings reveal strategic moves towards realising his dream of becoming federal minister have commenced.

And all manners of approach are being employed, further digs by highstreet.ng have showed.

One of these is pushing out information detailing achievement of his eight years reign as governor of Osun State, our findings revealed.

Mr Aregbesola’s handlers are said to have started dishing out the kind of information that would propagate his image and ultimately swing the ministerial position the way of their principal.

“They are obviously unrelenting in their effort”, an insider with deep insight maintains.

“I know he wants to be minister… And you can see his people have started pushing out information all in the name of laundering his image,” the insider concluded.

But what the outcome of the handlers’ machination would turn out to be remains unseen as the political scheming continues.
