“Victory Assured” Gov Douye Diri Says After Winning Bayelsa Guber Primary
Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State has said he’s confident of victory in the coming governorship election in the state.
The governorship election in the oil-rich state is scheduled to hold on November 11, 2023.
Governor Diri made the declaration immediately he emerged the candidate of his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), at the primary election contest.
The reelection seeking governor was declared winner by Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, who headed the PDP Gubernatorial Panel.
“I have just emerged candidate of my party, the People’s Democratic Party, ahead of the November 11, 2023, Governorship Election in Bayelsa State.
Thanks to the PDP Gubernatorial Panel headed by my brother, His Excellency, Senator Ademola Adeleke, Governor of Osun State for a peaceful process.
I have accepted this mandate of the delegates to fly the flag of PDP for my re-election.
Many thanks to the good people of Bayelsa State for their continuous support.
