How Jibrin Barau Emerged As Deputy Senate President

Jibrin Barau has just been elected the Deputy Senate President.

Barau represents Kano North Senatorial District and his candidature has the blessings of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC.

He emerged unopposed.

His emergence came to be after he was nominated by the former Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi.

Mr Barau, whose nomination was seconded by Salisu Mustapha, was the immediate past Chairman of Senate Committee on Appropriations.
