Federal Govt Didn’t Interfere In Kano Emir Tussle – Insiders Maintain

Claims that the Federal Government has hand in the crisis that engulfed Kano State lately over Emir of Kano tussle have been dismissed as reckless and unfounded.

With the dethroned Emir Aminu Ado Bayero and the reinstated Emir Muhammadu Sanusi at the centre of the scuffle, insiders maintain the federal government under the watch of president Bola Tinubu will never descend to the level of involving itself in local matters.

Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, the Deputy Governor of Kano State had alleged that the National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu was backing the dethroned Emir Aminu Ado Bayero against the reinstated Emir Muhammadu Sanusi.

Also, Atiku Abubakar, Presidential candidate of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general election, in statement he personally signed accused the Federal Government of deploying soldiers to Kano in support of the dethroned Emir Ado Bayero.

But all that appears not to be as available information at the disposal of highstreet.ng suggests otherwise.

“The Federal Government did not at anytime order deployment of soldiers to Kano…
“The National Security Adviser (Ribadu) has nothing to do with it. His Office is tasked with national security, not local chieftaincy matters.
“Its just an attempt to drag the FG into local matters in the name of politicking,” insiders who punctured the claims insisted.

Deposed by the administration of former governor Abdullahi Ganduje (now National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress) in 2020, Sanusi was reinstated on Thursday, May 23, 2024 following the repeal of the law that gave way for his dethronement by the Kano State House of Assembly.

His return to Kano on Friday, May 24, 2024 to reascend the throne after four year met “brick wall” as Emir Ado Bayero who had earlier vacated the palace resurfaced on Saturday, May 25, 2024 as a result of an alleged “court order” stopping Emir Sanusi’s installation.
