How Macallan’s Exclusive Whisky Soiree Went Down At KNOWHERE Lagos
World-renowned single malt Scotch whisky brand, The Macallan in an exclusive tasting event held in partnership with KNOWHERE Lagos, treated 30 guests of the high-end restaurant to a night of luxury whisky tasting, conversations and indulgence.
The event which took place on the 10th of September 2024 showcased The Macallan’s expressions, offering guests a unique sensory experience.
MD/CEO Procegas, Bright Afiwerie and the CEO of Vaniti Lagos, Owen Ogbebor and Reality TV stars, Elozonam, Esther and Frodd; were some of the prominent faces at the event.
The Macallan’s Brand Ambassador and Educator, Lagos, Daniel Atteh, shared his expertise on the brand’s rich history, craftsmanship, and the unique characteristics of each whisky, introducing them to the world of The Macallan.
Opening the event, Daniel Atteh expressed his excitement, “We are excited to host this event in partnership with KNOWHERE Lagos. The Macallan is committed to delivering unforgettable experiences for our discerning consumers, and this event presents that opportunity while also showing our dedication to quality and craftsmanship”.
The guests were guided through The Macallan’s finest expressions, including The Macallan Double Cask 18 Years, The Macallan Double Cask 15 Years, The Macallan Rare Cask and the coveted The Macallan Sherry Oak 25 Years. Each expression was paired with exquisite dishes from KNOWHERE Lagos’s exceptional menu, enhancing the tasting experience and providing them with the opportunity to appreciate the nuances of flavour profiles.
The Macallan Sherry Oak 25 Years was the highlight of the evening, The whisky, a part of the Sherry Oak Collection, features a series of single malt whiskies matured exclusively in hand-picked sherry-seasoned oak casks for richness and complexity. This special single malt delivers an intensely rich and full flavour character, citrus, dried fruits and wood smoke.
Beyond the tasting, the guests enjoyed conversations, shared their experiences, and discovered a new appreciation for single-malt Scotch whisky.
