UNGA: Elumelu Says Young Entrepreneurs Hold Key To Creating The Needed Jobs In Africa

Legendary business leader, Tony Oyemaechi Elumelu has said that Africa young entrepreneurs holds the key to creating the needed jobs on the continent.

Elumelu chairs Heirs Holdings – a Nigerian conglomerate with huge investment in power, hospitality, oil and gas, property, finance and more – and Africa’s global bank, United Bank for Africa.

He stated this on the sidelines of United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) 79.

The serial investor who felt honoured to have co-hosted critical stakeholders on the sidelines of UNGA 79 alongside Cindy McCain, Executive Director of World Food Programme (WFP) where issues of hunger on the globe were deliberated on said, “Africa should be feeding itself, exporting value-adding products, and indeed feeding the world.”

“Young entrepreneurs hold the key to creating the jobs that we need in Africa, catalysing shared prosperity that leaves no one behind, and ultimately, contributing to lasting peace. This is what we mean when we set out to democratise luck”, the businessman championing philanthropic initiatives that have uplifted thousands across Africa maintained.
