Gov Diri Visits Flood impacted Biseni community

His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State this afternoon visited the flood impacted Biseni community in Yenagoa Local Government Area of the State.

Gov. Diri accompanied by top government functionaries including the member representing Yenagoa Constituency 3, Hon. Ted Elemeforo, Secretary to State Government, Prof. Nimibofa Ayawei, Commissioner for Education, Gentle Emelah, his Information, Orientation and Strategy counterpart, Mrs. Ebiuwou Koku-Obiyai, Governor’s Rep in Yenagoa, Mr. Zuwa Konugah, Director General of State Flood and Erosion Directorate, Omuso Omuso and the Mayor of Yenagoa, Bulodisiye Ndiwari, described Biseni as most impacted and extended the sympathy of the government to the displaced people.

“The situation is Biseni is very pathetic. We thank God that the people are resilient and we have not heard of any death.
It is not only when there is an election that we should come, in times like this we should also be with them.

“On behalf of their own government, I send the sympathies of all of us to the good people of Biseni and they know we will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with them.”

The government has already donated some food items to the people.
