Gov Diri Harps On Love During Christmas visit To Senator Dickson

Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa has urged Bayelsans to live in love and  choose dialogue over rancour.

The governor stated this during a Christmas visit to his predecessor, and immediate past governor of Bayelsa state, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson in his country home, Toru-Orua.

“Let us all keep our mouths in check and do those things that will promote a healthy relationship. Let us exude love to one another. Let us respect one another; and as brothers, not only between Kolokuma/Opokuma and Tarakiri clans, but across Bayelsa state, let’s practise love. I say this because, there so much of bitterness in the political turf”, he said.

His host, Senator Dickson thanked him for initiating and practising the culture of visits during festive seasons, stressing that it engenders love among leaders and Bayelsans. He stated that himself and the governor remain friends.
