Seye Famojuro, one the trusted men around the governor of Oyo state, Engineer Seyi Makinde, is not very happy at the moment.

The reason for his unpleasant mood is straight forward, his 14,000 dollars (N5 million) has just been stolen.

The ugly incident currently troubling his mind transpired about two weeks back at the private home of governor Makinde, highstreet.ng understands.

Governor Makinde’s house is located in Ikolaba area of Ibadan, the state capital of Oyo State.

The 14,000 dollars got missing in custody of Lekan, one of the domestic aides of governor Makinde, investigation conducted by highstreet.ng revealed.

The missing hard currency was actually kept in the said domestic aide’s room, our source maintained.

Further checks by highstreet.ng showed governor Seyi Makinde is in the know of matter but directed it should be handled discreetly, maintaining its not the kind of news he wants in the public space about his administration.

“I know the governor is aware… But he does want it out there… because he understands it would paint his government in bad light”, an insider stated.

“This is not the first time such things will happen in the governor’s home, there were similar cases before, during and after governor Makinde’s election”, the insider concluded.
