Gov Fubara Visits, Celebrates Ex-Dep Gov Tele Ikuru At 59

Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara on Monday, honoured the former Deputy Governor of the State, Engr Tele Ikuru, with a birthday visit.

The Governor joined the former Deputy Governor, family and friends in the celebration of his 59th Birthday in his country home in Old GRA, Port Harcourt.

The Governor was joined at the event by top leaders and elders of the State, including Secretary to the State Government, Dr Tammy Danagogo; former Governor Celestine Omehia; former Senate President Pro-Tempore and President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Senator John Azuta Mbata; Senator Lee Maeba; former Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Dr Austin Opara; former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus; former Minister of Transport, Dr Abiye Sekibo; some present and former National Assembly members; Chairman, Rivers State House of Assembly Service Commission, Dr Tamunosisi Gogo-Jaja; among other major stakeholders of the State.

The Governor and the leaders and elders of the State also joined the celebrant and his wife, Dr Mina Ikuru, to cut the 59th Birthday cake, moderated by Senator Lee Maeba.

The leaders later rendered a scintillating Birthday song after cutting the cake, and also proposed a toast for the long life, good health and prosperity of the celebrant.
