Tinubu Hailed As Gov Diri Receives Contractors Handling Nembe-Brass Road Phase 2 Project

Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri today at Government House, Yenagoa received the Chairman of AIL Infrastructure Limited, Mr. Abiodun Otunola, lead contractor for the construction of the 2nd phase of Nembe-Brass road.

Governor Diri expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for graciously approving the second phase of the road.

“Let me extend my heartfelt gratitude to our father and leader, for his steadfast support and commitment to the development of Bayelsa State.

To my mind and citizens of Bayelsa State, this project reaffirms Mr. President’s vision for inclusion of national growth and development.The people of Bayelsa deeply appreciates this milestone that Mr President has approved for Bayelsa State.

The vision of the Nembe-Brass road dates back to over 60 years. You can imagine the anxiety over this road.

Bayelsa State government took the bold initiative to commence the Nembe-Brass road project. Fully aware of the substantial financial implications, yet moved by the imperative to enhance connectivity, stimulate economic growth and opening us up to the economic potentials to the Atlantic ocean”, Gov. Diri stated.

Dignitaries at the meeting were the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Lawrence Ewhrujakpo, former military administrator of Rivers State, King Alfred Diette-Spiff, Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abraham Ingobere, Secretary to the State government, Prof. Nimibofa Ayawei, Chief of Staff Government House, Dr. Peter Akpe, House of Assembly members, Commissioners, Chairman of Bayelsa State Council of Traditional Rulers council, King Bubaraye Dakolo, Brass Local Government Chairman, Hon. Lucky Febo, Chairman of Nembe Local Government Chairman, Hon. David Alagoa, and other top government officials.
