Gov Eno Hails Tinubu For Appointing Usoro Akpabio New SSDC MD

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, PhD, has sent his congratulatory message to Ms. Usoro Akpabio, on her appointment as the Managing Director of the South South Development Commission, while thanking President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for the appointment.

In a congratulatory message made available to the press by his Chief Press Secretary, Ekerete Udoh, Governor Eno, thanked President Tinubu, for this “great appointment of our daughter as the pioneer Managing Director of the South South Development Commission and for your kind consideration of picking our State capital, Uyo, as the operational headquarters of the Commission.”

While wishing Ms. Usoro a “fruitful and impactful tenure, given her tireless work in bringing issues of development especially in rural areas across the South South geo-political zone to the fore, the Government and people of Akwa Ibom State stand ready to support you in this national assignment.”

The Governor, also saluted the Senate President, Distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio, GCON, for his collaborations with the State Government  and for ensuring the appointment of our sons and daughters into key federal positions.

It would be recalled that, during the visit to President Tinubu, early this year by Akwa Ibom stakeholders, Governor Eno had prayed the President to appoint more Akwa Ibom sons and daughters into federal positions.
