Aregbesola Tells What Will Happen During 2026 Guber Election In Osun
The former governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has assured members of his political group, Omoluabi Progressives, that the outcome of the next gubernatorial election in the state will swing in their favour.
Another governorship election in Osun will hold in 2026.
Aregbesola, a former minister of interior in the last government of Muhammadu Buhari, made the assurance during the Local Government Leadership Stakeholders’ Meeting of the Omoluabi Progressives on Sunday, May 11, 2025.
The meeting was held in Ilesa, the home town of the prominent politician.
Addressing his loyalists, Aregbesola said: “Almighty God has already ordained how the 2026 election in Osun will unfold, and we are more than convinced that it will favour us”,
He also pointed out that “Only those blessed with divine insight can perceive the unfolding events ahead of Osun 2026.”
He made the comments via his Facebook account a few hours after the meeting he tagged “another moment of reflection and rededication to our shared vision and collective commitment to the ideals of our tendency.”

At the Local Government Leadership Stakeholders’ Meeting of the Omoluabi Progressives today, it was another moment of reflection and rededication to our shared vision and collective commitment to the ideals of our tendency.
In my remarks, I urged members to remain confident in our ability to restore Osun to true progressive leadership. While I reiterated that the goals of our movement are realistic and achievable, I emphasised the need for unity and steadfastness to reach our destination.
We are deeply convinced that God is with us. What remains is for us to continue mobilising support and strengthening our base so we can achieve success.
Only those blessed with divine insight can perceive the unfolding events ahead of Osun 2026. Almighty God has already ordained how the 2026 election in Osun will unfold, and we are more than convinced that it will favour us.
We also agreed on the importance of renewing our dedication to this cause and remaining committed until victory is achieved. I was especially delighted to welcome new members into our fold from all strata of society.
