Incumbent governor Yahaya Bello has been declared winner of kogi State governorship election.

Bello is the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

He polled a total of 406,222 votes to defeat the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Musa Wada who got 189,704 votes.

The declaration was made by the Returning Officer for the election and Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Professor Ibrahim Umar.
