Abdul Samad Rabiu, the chairman of BUA Group, has led BUA Group to perfect another economy-boosting deal with CBMI Construction Ltd to increase BUA Cement’s production capacity with an additional 3-million-ton-per-annum cement line in Sokoto.

The ceremony held today, January 21, 2026, was attended by Mr. Zhang Sicai, Chairman of CBMI Construction Ltd, who signed on behalf of the Chinese conglomerate he chairs.

The new business pact, obviously giving the BUA Group Chief great joy, will eventually increase the total capacity of the cement company to 20 million tons per annum.

Mr. Rabiu announced the development in a Facebook post that reads…“Thrilled to have signed and sealed with CBMI for a 3-million-ton-per-annum cement line in Sokoto — bringing BUA Cement Plc’s total annual capacity to 20 million tons per annum. Powered by our Kogi LNG plant, it will boost Nigeria’s North-West and regional markets in just 20 months, thanks to the bold reforms of His Excellency, Mr. President.”
