Minister Oyetola Plots To Make Son, Femi, Senator In Osun

Femi Oyetola, son of the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, has officially entered the race for the Nigerian Senate.

Available information indicates that Femi is already in possession of the nomination form to represent Osun Central Senatorial District.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial nomination and expression-of-interest forms were, according to a report, purchased for him by his allies and political associates.

The move has sparked internal discussions within the All Progressives Congress, as the Minister currently serves as the party’s leader in Osun State.

With the APC primary for National Assembly aspirants approaching, insiders suggest the political machinery is being aligned to ensure Femi emerges as the party’s candidate.

As the February 2027 general elections approach, the younger Oyetola’s candidacy appears to be a strategic move by his father. This play aims to consolidate his control over the Osun APC and reinforce his political influence throughout the state.

Whether the party’s rank and file will embrace this move or resist the perceived imposition remains to be seen.
