Family Announces Death Of Barrister Adewale Adeniji, 61

The Adeniji family of Abeokuta, Ogun State has announced the passing of their son and brother, Barrister Adewale Olubiyi Adeniji, who transitioned peacefully to eternal glory on June 12, 2026, at the age of 61.

A proud son of Abeokuta, Barrister Adeniji is a respected and influential voice in the legal profession, a visionary in business, and a shepherd of souls on the pulpit.

According to a statement signed by the son, Fikun Adeniji, on behalf of the family, the late Adeniji was described as a “great man, full of energy and life”. “Everyone who knew my dad, knew he was deeply passionate about his country and dedicated to its progress and development. His legacy of service and positive impact will continue to resonate through the many lives he influenced”.

Late Barr. Adeniji is survived by his wife Olukemi, his children, grandchildren, siblings, numerous relatives, friends, colleagues and associates.

“The family expresses gratitude for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support received during this difficult time and requests continued prayers as we mourn the loss and celebrate the life of a remarkable husband, father, grandfather, brother, mentor, and friend”, the statement read.

Details of the funeral arrangements will be announced by the family in due course.
