BUA Group Debunks Claims Chairman Abdul Samad Rabiu Is Bidding For Kano Pillars FC Stake

BUA Group has officially debunked claims circulating in the media that its chairman, Abdul Samad Rabiu, is perfecting a bid to acquire a 70 percent stake in Kano Pillars Football Club.

In an official statement released on Monday, June 29, 2026, the Nigerian conglomerate – with diverse interests across multiple sectors of the nation’s economy – maintained that the reports are entirely inaccurate and unfounded.

The response, titled “Re: False Claims of Bid to Acquire Stake in Kano Pillars Football Club” and signed by BUA Group Management, reads:

“Our attention has been drawn to an online publication suggesting that BUA Group and its Chairman, Abdul Samad Rabiu, have submitted a bid to acquire a 70% stake in Kano Pillars Football Club. We would like to clarify that this report is inaccurate and does not reflect any position, action, or communication from BUA Group or Abdul Samad Rabiu. No such bid has been made, and there has been no engagement with any party on this matter.

BUA Group’s swift denial completely puts an end to the current wave of takeover speculation.
