EX-PDP National Chairman Bamanga Tukur Dies At 90
Elder statesman and former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, is dead.
He passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the age of 90, just three days before his 91st birthday.
Sources revealed he departed this world at his residence in Wuse 2, Abuja, following a prolonged illness.
His death was confirmed by his family, with his eldest son, Rt. Hon. Awwal Tukur—who serves as the Secretary to the Adamawa State Government—leading the announcements.
Arrangements are said to be underway to fly his remains to Yola, Adamawa State, for burial in accordance with Islamic rites.
In honor of the former Governor of the defunct Gongola State, Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri declared a three-day period of mourning across the state.
