Financial Crimes: DSS, EFCC Discuss Deeper Collaboration


The Department of State Services, DSS has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening collaboration and synergy with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC in the fight against corruption, economic and financial crimes.

This was made known on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 when DSS Director, Internal Security, Hakeem Olutope Abiola, led a delegation of the Service on a courtesy visit to the Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the EFCC.

Abiola in his remarks at the occasion, disclosed that the visit was aimed at strengthening the existing relationship between the two agencies, particularly through intelligence sharing and joint efforts to combat economic and financial crimes. He stressed the need for sustained cooperation between both agencies and the effective deployment of their expertise and intelligence capabilities.

In his response, the Acting Director, Kaduna Zonal Directorate, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, ACE I Ahmed M. Ghali, expressed delight at the visit, describing it as a demonstration of the cordial relationship between the two agencies.

He assured the delegation of EFCC’s continued support and commitment to deepening collaboration between both agencies in the areas of intelligence sharing and mutual assistance in the fight against
economic and financial crimes.
