Miners’ Deaths: Gov Bago Relaxes Curfew From Monday

The Executive governor of Niger State, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has relaxed the curfew imposed in Minna the State capital effective from Monday 21st September, 2026.

The farmer governor gave the directive shortly after attending the three day special prayers held for the 37 artisanal miners that lost their lives while in custody of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Niger State.

The farmer governor appealed to Nigerlites to remain law abiding and be responsible citizens as the government continues to work out ways to improve on their wellbeing.
