The NYSC Oyo State Coordinator, Eniola Ambekemo in an interview with the press, has urged the graduate youths to shun all forms of corruption. Stating that corruption kills, thus the need to raise the awareness against it in the society.

Ambekemo made the assertion during the anti-corruption Walk in collaboration with the Economic and Financial Crime Commission. The one kilometer Walk tagged, ” Nigerian Youth Walk Against Corruption” which commenced from the EFCC Zonal Office Ibadan with over 500 Corps members raising their voices against corruption.

The State Coordinator stated that the Awareness Walk which was in line with the NYSC Director General’s directive will not only stop with the Sensitization Walk but the Corps members will continue to fight the menace by creating EFCC syndicate group in schools to enlighten the young generation on the menace of corruption.

In his remark, the Acting Head, EFCC Ibadan Zonal Office, Mr Bright Igeleke, stated that youths as leaders, must be ambassadors of anti- corruption campaign. He reiterated that the Awareness campaign was necessary because corruption has adversely affected the society.

Also commenting, the Commander Oyo State National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Mrs Josephine Ojo stated that it is imperative to engage Youths in the fight against corruption especially as it relates to internet fraud. She further enjoined the youths to make it a personal objective to fight against corruption.
