The talks are gaining ground, that Governor of Lagos state Babajide Sanwo-Olu will not spend more than a single term – of four years – in office.

Societynow.ng gathered that this assertion is based on claims that possible replacements are already lining up – and have started massive campaigns.

Informants claim interestingly those who have initiates serious efforts to takeover Sanwo-Olu’s seat belong to his political party – the All Progressives Congress – and have strong ties and loyalty to his political godfather, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Societynow.ng gathered that one of the most visible campaigners building a huge support base across the state is Jide Adediran.

Adediran is using Jandor Foundation to connect with the people and political class through empowerment programs and related initiatives.

Adediran, the Chief Executive Officer of Core Media services is fiercely backed in his political exploit by a former governor of Lagos state and a hardcore supporter of Asiwaju Tinubu who lost out in becoming the governor of Lagos state at the 11th hour to immediate past former governor Akinwunmi Ambode.

Societynow.ng gathered that the general belief is that Adediran and his likes would not be making such an audacious bid, early in the life of the Sanwo-Olu administration if the body language of powerful politician Asiwaju Tinubu does not favor it.

There are whispers that after the “political misadventure” with Ambode – is exploring means to limit governors install by his party to a single term in office.
