Governor Rotimi Akeredolu has just confirmed the first case of Coronavirus in Ondo State.

Mr Akeredolu made the disclosure via a Facebook post today, April 3, 2020.

The governor’s post reads…

We have just received confirmation of our first positive #COVIDー19 case in Ondo State this evening. The infected person is in very stable condition and is currently under isolation and will be monitored.

We have activated all necessary protocol to locate all contacts and will be working closely with @NCDCgov to ensure all that have come in contact with the infected get tested.
