The Minister of Finance Kemi Adeosun has resigned.

Details available have it that the embattled minister resigned her appointment yesterday.

Adeosun has been battling allegations of forgery.

Adeosun is accused of forging the National Youths Service Corps certificate to secure employment.

She refused to publicly react to the allegation just as news breaker refused to relent on the campaign to force a reaction on the matter from the Federal Government.

Unconfirmed details insist Adeosun’s resignation has roots in the certificate scandal mess.

Societynow.ng confirmed the move by the Minister caught many unawares.

There are emerging talks that her resignation may not be voluntary but part of efforts by the president Muhammadu Buhari’s government to do away with “scandals associated with the administration”.

The president and his All Progressives Congress are seriously campaigning to retain power in next year’s General Election.

Talks of a possible prosecution of Adeosun for certificate forgery has hit the town with her resignation.
