Why Obaseki’s Deputy, Philip Shaibu Is Very Uncomfortable At The Moment

Governor Godwin Obaseki’s deputy, Philip Shaibu is very uncomfortable at the moment, information pieced together by highstreet.ng has shown.

And his discomfort, according to report, has roots in the arrest of “Holyman”, a popular “street muscle” in Edo State.

Holyman, who is alleged to be one of the political thugs loyal to Mr Phillip Shaibu, was reportedly arrested by Nigerian Army Yesterday, September 6, 2020.

He was reportedly picked up at a government primary school in Jattu, one the communities in Edo State.

His sin was disrupting a rally by the All Progressive Candidate (APC) in the town.

And the development is said to have deeply hit Mr Shaibu, more so, now that the gubernatorial election is only 12 day from now.

“He has been taken away when the deputy governor needed him most”, a source who is familiar with Edo State political terrain suggested.

Jattu, located in Etsako West Local Government of the state, is the home town of Mr Phillip Shaibu.

Shaibu is the deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the coming gubernatorial election in Edo State.

Edo State gubernatorial election is scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2020.
