Ganduje Named APC Chairman As Ajibola Basiru Emerges National Secretary

The former Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje has been named as the new National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the ruling party made the announcement on Thursday at its meeting.

The party also elected Ajibola Basiru, a former senator from Osun State, as the National Secretary.

Acting National Chairman, Senator Abubakar Kiyari, who cited relevant section of the party constitution, reportedly briefed newsmen on the development after the NEC meeting.

While oaths of allegiance were administered on the two newly elected party officers by Barrister Mustapha Abubakar.
