Revealed! Gov Makinde’s Role As Dele Adeleke & Ademola Adeleke’s Rift Over Guber Ticket Continues

Emerging information has indicated the governor of Oyo State Engineer Oluseyi Makinde is playing a role in the fight between Ademola Adeleke and his nephew, Dele Adeleke.

Ademola Adeleke and Dele Adeleke – who are blood relations – are members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State.

They are presently neck-deep in a political fight over the gubernatorial ticket of the major opposition party ahead of the coming election in the state.

According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the gubernatorial election in Osun State holds on July 16, 2022.

Sources who are familiar with the manner Dele Adeleke, a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) and Lagos Business School, where he bagged degrees in Accounting and business management respectively, is going about his aspiration have revealed he is in the race with the full backing of Governor Seyi Makinde who doubles as the leader of the PDP in the southwest.

Mr Makinde’s current position as the only serving governor of the PDP in the South West transformed him the leader of the party in the entire region, highstreet.ng understands.

“I can confirm to you that his ambition has the blessing of those that matter in the affair of PDP in Osun State and beyond… Dele Adeleke’s ambition has the blessing of Governor Seyi Makinde… He’s backing him with all at his disposal but only going about it discreetly, a source confided in highstreet.ng.

Further digs reveal Mr Makinde is currently on a mission to sell the candidacy of Dele who has Deji Adeleke, the wealthy father of singer, Davido as uncle, to his colleagues in the PDP governors’ forum.

Makinde believes taking care of Ademola Adeleke, the candidate of PDP in the 2018 governorship election who lost to incumbent governor Adegboyega Oyetola with the emergence of his nephew will further consolidate his grips on the PDP in the southwest, another source said.
