Why Gov Eno Lauded Amitec Group’s CSR

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has commended Amitec Group for its exemplary Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, calling on other contractors operating in the State to emulate same gesture.

Governor Eno gave the commendation on Wednesday, July 16, while commissioning the 10.4KM Hospital/Ukpom Abak – Idoro/Pepsi- junction Road constructed by Amitec.

Thanking Amitec group for the donation of 6 boreholes to the communities along the newly-commissioned road that traverses Uyo and Abak Local Government Areas, Governor Eno emphasized the importance of CSR in promoting sustainable development and community well-being.

“During the commissioning of road projects in Oruk Anam, Amitec made donations of 50,000 exercise books to schools and 10 water projects amongst other things. Today, again, he has announced this, Contractors operating in the State must emulate this.” Governor Eno stressed.

Earlier, the Chairman of Amitec Group, Chief Aiman Saimua, in his vote of thanks at the event, expressed appreciation to Governor Eno for trusting his organization with his vision.

“We express our sincerest gratitude to His Excellency, Governor Umo Eno, whose bold vision and people-first governance made this project not just possible but inevitable. Thank you for trusting us with your vision. Your leadership continues to lay foundations not only in concrete but in compassion.

“Today, we are not just celebrating the completion of a road, we are celebrating another promise fulfilled and the grand unveiling of what the people now affectionately call the ‘Abak Mini-Medical Corridor.’

“As we cut this ribbon, may it also mark the opening of new possibilities, faster access to health care, and a daily reminder that progress, when done right, touches lives.” Amitec Chief added.

He, however, pledged continuous support for Governor Umo Eno while assuring of continuous partnership with his government in delivering quality infrastructure to the citizenry.

The event also featured goodwill messages from major Stakeholders.
