Why Gov Oyetola’s Son, Femi Is Taking His Security Seriously
Femi Oyetola, the son of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State, has reportedly taken his security seriously.
Information at the disposal of highstreet.ng indicated the move becomes imperative following recent happenings in the state.
“He has enhanced his security details… There is an increase in the number of security men around him now and I don’t see things changing concerning the move anytime soon, a source who is familiar with the younger Oyetota disclosed.
Femi Oyetola, in alliance with Kabiru Aregbesola – former governor Aregbesola’s son – played a key role in the election that brought his father to power in 2018.
And the development did a kind of exposure to his personality, highstreet.ng gathered.
Sources maintained Mr Femi Oyetola’s newly adopted approach about his safety actually came to be after a series of attacks witnessed in the state his father presides over lately.
“He did not just take the step… He did it immediately discovered the fight rocking the ruling party was going out of hand”, another source pointed out.
The attacks were fallouts of the internal crisis rocking the ruling party All Progressives Congress APC in the state, highstreet.ng understands.
The latest of such was Thursday, February 3, 2022 attack on the campaign office of former governor Aregbesola.
The reelection-seeking governor Oyetola and Aregbesola, the man he took over from, are the principal actors in the internal wrangling afflicting the party in power.
Aregbesola who is the minister of interior in the cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari has taken a stand that the incumbent governor will be limited to a single term.
According to information Aregbasola’s grouse, among other allegations, is that his successor sidelined him in the scheme of things as far as governance and appointments into government offices are concerned.
Sadly, there have been unsuccessful efforts at reconciling the once-upon-a-time political allies while their foot soldiers have continued engaging themselves dangerously.
