EndSARS: Gov Oyetola Relaxes Curfew In Osun State
The Governor of Osun State, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola has reviewed the 24-hour curfew emplaced to prevent breakdown of law and order.
Oyetola personally gave hint on the new development in a Facebook post today, October 28, 2020
The governor had on Saturday, October 24, 2020 announced the statewide stay at home order following destruction of public and private properties as well as looting spree embarked on by hoodlums in the state.
His post reads…
Following the review of the security situation in the State, we’ve decided to relax the 24-hr curfew declared last Saturday to avert breakdown of law and order. Effective from tomorrow, Thursday, October 29, the curfew will run from 8:00pm to 6:00am daily, until further notice.
This means members of the public can now go about their activities between 6:00 am and 8:00 pm daily. Security operatives will however be on ground to enforce the new curfew directive, as part of efforts to maintain law and order across the State.
I commend citizens and residents of Osun for their understanding and cooperation in the last few days. I urge you all to continue to be peaceful and law abiding. As a government, we will continue to make efforts to protect the lives and property of our people.
