Governor of Ogun State Ibikunle Amosun and his Imo State Counterpart Rochas Okorocha have been suspended.

Their suspension was perfected by the national working committee of the ruling All Progressives Congress .

The decisions to show them the way out of the party were taken at the NWC meeting on Friday afternoon in Abuja where allegations of “anti-party activities” were levelled against the governors.

The NWC is said to have recommended the for possible expulsion pending the approval of national executive committee (NEC).

The decision was equally said to have been confirmed by the party’s spokesperson, Lanre Isa-Onilu.

Both Amosun and Okorocha were elected senator on the platform of APC during the just conducted February 23, 2019 general  election.

The two governors are backing governorship candidates outside their party, APC.

Adekunle Akinlade of Allied Peoples Movement (APM) is Goverrnor Amosun while Imo state governor Okorocha is working for Uche Nwosu of Action Alliance.
