Pictures: How Elumelu, Wife Celebrated 10yrs Of Avon Healthcare

African business leader, Tony Elumelu and wife, Awele Elumelu, on Friday, July 7, 2023 celebrated 10 years of Avon Healthcare’s service delivery to mankind.

With Mrs Elumelu as chairperson, Avon Healthcare – reputed to have impacted about half a million lives in 127 countries across the world, became operational in July 2013.

Interestingly, Mr Elumelu, who is the chairman of Heirs Holdings – a Nigerian conglomerate with interest in hospital, Healthcare, oil and gas, insurance, power and more – in a post across his social media handles gave a breakdown of how the reputable Healthcare Maintenance Organization (HMO) has so far paid over N24bn in claims in ten years of its existence.

His post…

Yesterday, #HHpeople and well wishers celebrated a decade of excellent service by Avon HMO

As MrsTOE, Chairperson, Avon Healthcare put it in her speech, this is an Appreciation for the journey. 10 years ago, we had a clean slate, there was no #AvonHMO, just a dream.

This was given to Simbo Ukiri, the pioneer CEO of AvonHMO, and she took this dream in the simplest form you can think of and ran with it selflessly.

Today AvonHMO is the leading Healthcare Maintenance Organization in Nigeria… about half a million lives impacted, members have benefited from 7,164 surgeries, we have delivered 8,523 babies, paid over N24bn in Claims and provided clients access to healthcare in 127 countries globally.

My appreciation goes out to Simbo Ukiri and her entire team at AvonHMO, past and present, for all the work that has been put into building this brand over the past 10 years. 🙏🏽

At Heirs Holdings, we improve lives.
