“The Nigeria We Desire Will Not Be Built By Others, But By Us” — BUA Chairman Abdul Samad Rabiu

Billionaire philanthropist and Chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has declared that every citizen has a vital role to play if the country is to achieve its full potential.

The prominent employer of labour made these remarks following his outing at the 32nd Nigerian Economic Summit held today, October 26, 2026, at Transcorp Hilton in the nation’s capital, Abuja.

Mr. Rabiu, who oversees a sprawling business conglomerate with strategic investments across key sectors of the economy, delivered a compelling keynote address at the summit. This year’s event was themed “Growth That Works: Building Economic Accord for Nigeria.”

The high-profile economic gathering was attended by the Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Kashim Shettima, who represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“The Nigeria we desire will not be built by others, but by us,” Mr. Rabiu declared, challenging stakeholders to take ownership of the nation’s development. He further emphasized that “with unity, determination, and collective action, a greater Nigeria is entirely possible.”
