The collection, aptly named “Sartorial Reverie,” promises a harmonious fusion of classic tailoring and contemporary design. Guests will have a front-row seat to a ground-breaking night of style, creativity and a cohesive presentation of tailored musings, where each design is inspired by ATAFO’s commitment to innovation and quality.

The SS ‘24 collection reflects ATAFO’s dedication to timeless tailoring and its innovative spirit, offering a sophisticated yet modern range of garments that cater to life’s various occasions.

Speaking ahead of the event, Brand Manager, Edrington Portfolio, Nigeria, Hammed Adebiyi, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “The Sartorial Reverie collection is a celebration of the mastery at ATAFO, and it presents a unique opportunity for The Macallan to continue to emphasise our commitment to celebrating craftsmanship and elevating experiences by investing in exceptional talents like Mai Atafo.”

Mai Atafo, the Creative Director behind the collection, will pay homage to his Nigerian roots by infusing stylish cultural references from Edo traditional attire into the pieces. Notably, the menswear will feature formal silhouettes inspired by ATAFO’s signature designs like the schaket and tradxedo, while the womenswear will introduce a fresh, more feminine approach that merges contemporary design with traditional Nigerian style.

This marks the second year in a row that The Macallan would team up with Atafo, building on their prior collaboration for “The Atelier” in 2023. Earlier in the year, the brand also collaborated with the creative designer to mentor young entrepreneurs on fashion branding, running a successful business and leveraging the right strategies to drive Nigeria’s fashion industry to achieve its projected $1.92 billion by 2027.
