Tech Expert John Kolade Akhigbe Appointed To President Tinubu’s Presidential Campaign Council
Tech expert turned politician, John Kolade Akhigbe, has been appointed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the January 2027 general election.
According to a revised council list obtained by Highstreet.ng, Akhigbe will serve as a member of the Finance and Treasury Directorate. He brings a strong academic and professional background to the role, holding a finance degree from the University of Lagos, an MBA from the University of Texas Permian Basin, and advanced IT certifications.
The 43-man directorate is headed by Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, with Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo and Hon. Abubakar Kabir Bichi serving as Deputy Directors.
Ambassador Haruna Ginsau has been appointed as the Directorate’s Secretary, and will be assisted by Taminu Yakubu and Chineye Ngozi Okafor in deputy secretary capacities. Other notable members of the committee include Senator Ade Fadahunsi, Hon. Isa Mohammed Shettima, and Awa Nana Ibrahim.
